Hear from Catherine about her consulting experience:
1. How long have you been working as a consultant?
I have been working as a consultant for a little over 2 years (26 months).
2. What is your favorite part about working as a consultant?
My favorite part about working as a consultant is the opportunity to lead projects alongside executives that have a direct and measurable impact on the organization.
3. What surprised you most about life as a consultant?
The endless initiatives that consultants are asked to participate in surprised me the most about life as a consultant. Some of those initiatives might not be your ultimate strong suit but if you are up for the challenge it allows you to diversify your skillset and build upon your industry experience.
4. Funniest moment?
My funniest moment as a consultant was attending a company sponsored Halloween party where the CEO went around the office with a huge water gun and soaked down anyone who was still working and not participating.
5. Advice you’d give to your 25 year old self?
Advice to my 25-year-old self: Don’t listen to the naysayers. You can do and be anything you strive to be. Stand up for yourself once in a while. You will be surprised at how much people will respect that.
6. What do you do for fun?
For fun, I like to try new restaurants, travel with my family, and read a good book.
