Jay Gennaro  - Senior Executive Recruiter

Jay Gennaro brings over 25 years of experience partnering with accounting and finance leaders on direct-hire and contract search engagements. 

Prior to joining Andrews & Cole, Jay founded and led Avanti Group, a boutique executive search and advisory firm focused on delivering high-impact talent solutions across accounting, finance, and business leadership functions.

Before launching Avanti Group, Jay held Director-level roles with both a regional search firm and a publicly traded national recruiting organization, where he consistently delivered results for clients ranging from high-growth companies to large public enterprises.

Jay has successfully completed hundreds of searches across the accounting and finance function and is known for his consultative, relationship-driven approach.  

Jay earned a BA in Economics with a minor in Business from the University of Massachusetts. He lives in McLean, Virginia with his wife and two sons.

Outside of work, Jay spends much of his time supporting his sons’ sports and activities. He also enjoys competitive tennis, staying active, and spending time with extended family.
